waste managementWaste is so deeply rooted in everyday life that often we forget it and the trouble that it causes to the environment. For centuries waste has never been a problem. It hasn’t even been a concept. Because something that was of no use for somebody became valuable for someone else. For the greater part of its history mankind has recycled almost everything. The big change has append during the last century, particularly after the II World War. Today is as difficult as necessary to change our habits to change the very meaning of the word “waste”, from garbage to resource.

The keywords are "reduce" waste production and "recycle" as much as possible to give a new life to glass, to paper, to alloy. These are the basis of Centro Antartide activities for a new waste culture.
